Humphreys, CEO of Atticus Real Estate, has been in the real estate/ acquisition/development business for 25 years. He got his start buying several lots in Vail, CO in the 1990-91 recession. This turned out to be his first major real estate development. His skills as a renowned architect give him the ability to recognize real estate opportunities on a grander scale. He was able to develop those Vail lots and take them out of the recession into resort style homes to be sold a very high premium.
Some of Mr. Humphreys other real estate developments include multiple subdivisions in Dallas, buying resort land and developing resort homes in Rosemary Beach Florida. He has previously developed and is developing multiple apartment projects around Texas and Nebraska. Mr. Humphreys is currently in the process of developing Rosemary Pointe, a 68-room condominium lodging development in Rosemary Beach, Florida. This upscale development is going to be modern in design and one of the greenest lodgings in Florida.
Myers’ responsibilities includes all facets of real estate development operations including pre-development, construction and property management operations of both commercial and residential properties. He has overseen the completion of over $600 million in property development over the last 25 years.
In addition to serving as Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Myers also maintains the same title for Humphreys & Partners Architects. Bruce graduated Magna Cum Lade from University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree; he also received his MBA in Finance from UTD and served in the US Navy.
Lentz’s role in Atticus is focused on development pursuits on a national basis. He has been involved in the acquisition and development of over 3,500 units of conventional market-rate apartments, student housing communities and for-sale condominium developments in more than 15 markets, and with a total development cost in excess of $750 million.
Before joining Atticus, Mr. Lentz was Vice President of Development at Inland American Communities. Mr. Lentz also co-founded Amphora Energy Systems, a green technology firm that develops, builds, markets and sells advanced energy storage technologies to achieve reduced peak energy usage across a number of sectors, including multifamily development. Mr. Lentz earned his BBA in Finance with a concentration in real estate from the University of Texas at Austin.
Manager of Construction
Chaffin oversees the day to day operations of all Atticus projects in design development and under construction. She is a licensed architect with over 20 years of experience working in architectural and engineering offices, as well as, an Owner’s representative for both public and private developers. Having managed over $500 million in projects, she collaborates with design teams, contractors and developers across the US.
Prior to joining Atticus Real Estate, Ms. Chaffin was a Construction Manager for BRE Properties and Essex, the two largest developers of multi-family projects on the West Coast. She has Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic University of Pomona.
Multi Property Manager
Chavez joined Atticus Real Estate in January 2017, as Multi-Property Manager. She oversees a diverse range of properties across the US, including vacation, commercial, and residential. At each location Melissa manages commercial/residential properties, tenant relations, building operations, and construction supervision. She acts as point of contact for owner & property management companies, as well as overseeing lease administration, vendor relations and leasing.
Prior to joining Atticus, Chavez worked as an assistant property manager for several large multi-family properties.
Duehring serves as Real Estate Development Associate for Atticus Real Estate. His responsibilities includes conducting the financial underwriting, feasibility analysis, valuation, and marketing of all Atticus Real Estate Investments. Austin’s previous experience includes leading the acquisition, development, and management of retail, multi-family, residential land, and office properties.
Austin earned a BBA in Real Estate from the University of Georgia. He is an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Austin is also an active private pilot and is an active member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
Director Of Maintenance
Baca maintains various Atticus sites and properties to keep our sites looking their best and functioning properly. He works with contractors and vendors to ensure work quality is at the absolute best. He also dedicates time to warranty coverage, procurement and bid-management. Mr. Baca has over 4 years of real estate experience, specializing in both residential and commercial maintenance.
Prior to Atticus Real Estate, Mr. Baca built and maintained homes and apartments in Corrales, New Mexico and also worked for Coca-Cola. Mr. Baca has significant training experience in HVAC, OSHA, and First Aid.
Pressler provides support to the entire Atticus team and clientele. She is extremely organized and efficient. Miss Pressler helps manage all aspects of Atticus including scheduling, contract agreements and property administration. Miss Pressler additionally serves as Executive Assistant or CEO Mark Humphreys for Humphreys and Partners Architects.
Before joining Atticus Real Estate, Miss Pressler worked for the Texas Hospitality Group. Miss Pressler graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising from Southern Methodist University.
Bussell serves Atticus by creating, developing, and circulating marketing materials related to specific properties and Atticus as a whole. A skilled photographer and graphic artist, Bridget has a vast knowledge of design, mixed-media and marketing trends. Miss Bussell is also the Marketing Assistant for Humphreys & Partners architects where she is responsible for all digital and print marketing materials, web design and content, social media and brand management.
Miss Bussell graduated with a communications degree from Texas A&M University. Before joining the Atticus team, Bridget worked for an advertising agency in Plano, Texas.
Dee Ann Wooten
Wooten has over 15 years of experience in both interior design and construction management. She has worked on multiple high-end resort projects in addition to single and multi-family properties.
Through her brilliant design work, Miss Wooten has enhanced the beauty of many Atticus properties. She is cost-efficient and works together with clients to achieve creative goals.
In addition to interior design, Miss Wooten has a strong understanding of sales, construction development and the real estate industry.
