Atticus Real Estate has announced a collaboration with resort owner Buddy McLean, to reimagine The Lodge at Buckberry Creek, a  four star resort that burned down in 2016 near Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Renderings portray a complementary design that pays tribute to the resort’s rustic past with modern Adirondack styling and a façade consisting of wood logs and limestone accents. Guests will be able to choose from one, two, or three bedroom suites outfitted with luxurious finishes, oversized balconies, stone fireplaces, soaking tubs, and kitchens with gas ranges.

Proposed on-site amenities include a high-end restaurant, Jack Daniels-style bar in the lobby, a spacious state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton bikes and treadmills; and a resort-style infinity pool with outdoor seating areas and fireplaces that host views of the Smokey Mountains. Other outdoor features include a trout stream, hiking trails, and event space, as well as glamping and Airstream accommodations.
